Overview

**Kilimanjaro Baboon Tarantula** — A drier, highland-adapted Pterinochilus from the slopes of Kilimanjaro and surrounding mountain ranges of Tanzania and Kenya. Similar to P. murinus in temperament and care but from a cooler, drier habitat.

⚠️ OLD WORLD SPECIES: No urticating hairs; potent venom; highly defensive. For experienced keepers only.

Keep conditions dry. Room temperature (72-82°F) with full water dish is sufficient — no misting. P. chordatus is a prolific webber and deep burrower. Provides a cork bark hide to build around. Less commonly kept than P. murinus but an interesting addition for keepers who want Pterinochilus diversity.
