The smallest of the Psalmopoeus and reputedly one of the most visible — it tends to sit out on its webbing more than its relatives. A New World arboreal: no medically significant venom, but it is fast and will rear up and strike if it feels trapped, so it is a hands-off, intermediate species rather than a handling pet. Give it a vertical cork tube, plant cover to coax it out, lightly moist substrate, and a water dish. Fast grower and a reliable eater.
