Overview

**Mexican Fire Leg** — Stunning species with vivid orange-red legs contrasting against a jet black body and carapace. More defensive than most other *Brachypelma* species — readily flicks urticating hairs and can be skittish. CITES Appendix II listed. Same husbandry as other Mexican *Brachypelma*: dry enclosure, moist corner, always-available water dish. Very slow grower. Not the best choice for beginners due to its defensive nature, but a manageable intermediate species.
