Bonnetina papalutlensis
Bonnetina • Theraphosidae
Bonnetina papalutlensis is a Mexican tarantula described by Mendoza in 2012 from Guerrero, Mexico. As far as we could find, there is no keeper care sheet for it. Be careful with hobby labels: tarantulas sold in Europe under this name were later examined by a research team and identified as Bonnetina tanzeri, so an animal sold as B. papalutlensis may not be the true species. What we can say with confidence is genus level: Bonnetina is a New World group, and the examined hobby specimens carried urticating hairs on the abdomen, so use the usual precautions. For husbandry, no sourced temperature, humidity, substrate or feeding figures exist, and we have deliberately left those blank rather than guess. If you keep one, your own observations are the most useful data there is.
