Dwarf Pink Toe

Avicularia minatrix

AviculariaTheraphosidae

intermediate

Overview

**Dwarf Pink Toe** — The smallest commonly kept Avicularia, reaching only 3-4 inches. A reddish-slate and black body with the characteristic pink toes. Its small size makes it appealing for keepers with limited space who still want an arboreal display animal.

Same care as larger Avicularia but scaled down: small enclosure with excellent cross-ventilation, light misting 2-3x per week, and appropriately scaled prey. Slings are very small — use fruit flies or pinhead crickets.

A. minatrix is one of the less commonly available Avicularia but is increasingly captive-bred. A charming addition to a diverse arboreal collection.
