Brazilian Blue-Green Pinktoe

Avicularia geroldi

AviculariaTheraphosidae

beginner

Overview

A metallic blue-green pinktoe — a docile, beginner-friendly New World arboreal. Like all Avicularia it needs lots of cross-ventilation (stuffy, damp enclosures are the classic killer); keep lightly moist with a water dish, tall with cork bark and foliage to anchor web. Has urticating hairs but rarely kicks; flees rather than bites. Mild venom.
