Pink Toe Tarantula

Avicularia avicularia

AviculariaTheraphosidae

Overview

The Pink Toe is one of the most popular and beginner-friendly arboreal tarantulas. Named for their distinctive pink toe pads, they are generally docile but can be skittish and quick to jump.

This species creates beautiful web structures throughout their enclosure. They are more likely to jump away than show defensive behavior. Pink Toes are communal when young but should be housed individually as adults.

Provide vertical space with cork bark or branches for climbing. Keep humidity higher than terrestrial species and ensure good ventilation to prevent mold.
