Overview

**Mozambique Horned Baboon Tarantula** — A striking African fossorial with a pronounced foveal horn on the carapace, similar to Ceratogyrus. The richer brown-red coloration and distinct range separate it from Ceratogyrus species.

⚠️ OLD WORLD SPECIES: No urticating hairs; potent venom; defensive. For experienced keepers.

Keep dry with a water dish. Provide deep, compactable substrate for burrowing. A slow grower that may fast for extended periods — this is normal. Less commonly kept than Ceratogyrus but increasingly available from captive breeding. An interesting conversation piece with its distinctive horn morphology.
